ZEPHYRHILLS MAN RECEIVES THIRD WINNING LOTTERY TICKET FROM THE SAME LUCKY STORE TALLAHASSEE -- The Florida Lottery announced today that Richard Wiacek, 66, of Zephyrhills, claimed his share of a $223,217.98 FANTASY 5® top prize. The drawing was held on February 23, and produced two top prize winners. The other winning ticket, which has not been claimed, was purchased in Miami. Wiacek received a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $111,608.99. He purchased his winning FANTASY 5 Quick Pick ticket at SAV E TON, located at 4334 Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills. According to Wiacek, he has been buying Florida Lottery tickets from SAV E TON for the past four years. The store has brought Wiacek lots of luck, as he has previously won more than $800 on a FANTASY 5 ticket and $2,600 on a PLAY 4 ticket. Total ticket sales for this top prize generated approximately $288,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $20 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. The next FANTASY 5 drawing will be held tonight at 11:15 p.m. ET. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery's Web site at flalottery.com. # # # |
